Recently, I’ve been reading some conversation about productivity on my favorites blogs. While I never care to think about it, I think if I really want to make millions from internet, I should pay attention to my productive time.
Analyzing my working behavior, I know I work best in the morning - 8 am to 11 am - and at night - 8 pm to 11 pm. During afternoon? Not only that I couldn’t think, I tend to fall asleep whenever I start to write. But I will be OK if all I do is participating in forum or simply play The Sims 2.
And when I analyze deeper, I found the reason why my e-book project are slow moving. Hahahaha..
Why My e-Book Project Are Not Improving?
This is what I use to do: As soon as I start my working time, I checked my e-mail. Read, delete spam and reply/ send an e-mail to others. After that I went to my subscribed blogs and start reading - just like reading newspaper in the morning. And that could spend the whole morning. After lunch, I start to write.. then.. I could not think.. And lastly, I went to bed and sleep.. hehehehe.. But I still have to update my blog right? So, I have to login again at night and write the whole night.. Hmmm.. that didn’t served my purposed of working at home - spending time with family.
So, I guess I have to rescheduled my working flow.
This morning, I start the computer by working on my e-book project for one hour. And I will spend one hour every morning before I start logging into the internet everyday. This is a compulsory as I want to publish the e-book as soon as possible. And there is still much things to do.
After that, spending another one hour writing on this blog. This blog only, because this blog must be updated daily. I’ve decided that for my others blogs, they will have different frequency of updating. KelasEnglish will have 5 post weekly, Monday to Friday. eXploreJohor and JAMU+Online will be updated 3 times a week. And I will ensure that I make two blogs reviews at Simply Blog Directory every week. I have to come out with a detailed schedule how to organise my time to fit with the updating frequency.
After this - updating this blog for one hour - I am going to the newly setup forum for KelasEnglish. The forum is still in beta phase and I want to explore the most what I can do with it. Oh, I don’t think so that the forum will be fillled with Google Adsense. That is not the way that I want to monetize it. I won’t leak the secret now, but I do have plans to monetize the forum soon. That soon is not as next week or next month. If you are interested to write your blogs in English, feel free to joined the forum. Currently, there is nothing much there, I’ve just set it up on Sunday night.. But I have big plans to equip it with information about learning english - the fun way!
OK, that is some of my plans today.. And I shall check my e-mails and read subscription of blogs in the afternoon - my most non-productive time. I will make a timetable and put it up here.
What Is Productivity?
Anyway, this posting aren’t about my timetable. But it is about making the most of your productive time. If you are wondering why you are not making money online, then maybe you should analyse how you spend your time. Does it productive?
Productive means it brings money to your bank account. Reading e-mails is not productive but writing your e-book is productive. That is the simple explanation of productive.
