It so clear, that I can even see my feet in the water

Now I know that Penyabung is a fishing spot ( my father used to tell me that when he was young and unmarried, he went fishing in Penyabung!).. But people said there is a beautiful beach here.. which I couldnt find.. But I was more than determined to find that beautiful beach they claimed, named Pantai Pasir Lanun (Pirate Sand Beach)..

We passed the chalet (there is two resort here, in front of the jetty) and reach the end of the road. But there is a path through the jungle in front of us.. and an old signboard showing Pantai Pasir Lanun inside the jungle.. hmmmm.. luckily we were driving Ford Ranger (lend by a friend).. so we decided to give it a go..

The road to Pantai Pasir Lanun:

It is about 1-2 km through the jungle when we finally saw this: and this and this

Huh.. what a relief.. despite the bumpy road (or should I called it path) through the jungle, there is another place of attraction (or civilisation) here.. :D surprise?

Now, we want to see whether it is worth it to go through the hassle to get here or not..

There is two chalet and campsite here.. and both you have to pay to get in.. It is between RM3 - RM5 per vehicle.. Bear in mind that this is a private beach, that’s why they imposed the fee on us.. and that’s is the reason why the road to get here is only a jungle path.. :D

However the chalet are not looking very good.. but stil there is a few family staying here:

Hmmm.. the best part is the beach is facing an island.. thus there is less wave here because of the island..

It is low tide in the picture.. less water.. got to wait until evening or early morning..

And the water is so clean and clear that I can even see my feet inside the water.. It so cool.. and fresh.. I am speechless to explain how fun it is to swim here..

On my last note, it is pity if you didnt come to Pantai pasir Lanun if you were on holiday in Mersing..

I purposely give you a larger picture here so that you can see clearly my feet.. hehehehe..

P.S.: My advice is to stay at Penyabung Resort instead of staying at the two chalet here.. Just come to Pantai Pasir Lanun for swimming and picnic..

P.P.S.: Or else, you can stay at Tanjung Resang or Teluk Gorek.. More story on this afterwards…

Azleen: Waalaikumussalam Ummu..

assalamualaikum azleen,
just wondering if u know the rate for those chalets if we go during this coming school holiday? will they really hike up the rate sampai kita x mampu or just so so?
btw, any phone numberyg i boleh contact utk book chalet kat sana?
i thought of taking the risk of bundling the kids and maid + hubby in the car and check-in in any chalet but takut nanti sampai2 tempat semua dh penuh! dah la we all travel dr rawang…tersangat la jauh…
i’ve been there when i was still single..but that was 7 years ago…tempat tu memang bersih…& aman kan…

so we really need ur help..thanks..

I am not sure about the rent.. I went there during school holidays too.. It was about RM80-RM150 per chalet. However, you can’t just simply went there and expect there will be chalet to be rented. It always fully booked..

Though there are two resort (or so called) at the beach, I do not recommend you to stay there.. I stayed at Resang Indah Chalet (Teluk Resang) and went for picnic at Pasir Lanun. It is about 5km betweek teluk resang and pasir lanun.. You can find the contact number to resang indah at http://www.resangindahchalet.com ..

I hope that will be helpful for you..

dekat penyabung itself ada food court.. they served great nasi lauk kampung.. then ada juga goreng pisang, keropok, kuih muih etc.. and the special is they also have fried crab yang dimakan cecah ngan sos ala ala keropok.. sedap kot.. I alergik seafood, so I didn’t taste it.. But it does look tasty to me.. meleleh jer lah air liur.. :D

Dan dekat penyabung juga ada banyak orang yang menyediakan bot untuk pergi fishing.. They even have kelong there.. If I am not mistaken, it’s about RM150 per person for the kelong.. Well, I don’t fancy fishing, so I don’t really bother about it.. You just have to stop at the Penyabung jetty, just before turning right to go to the Pantai Pasir Lanun..

Hehehe.. For your info, my parents came from Mersing.. Basically, when we go to Mersing we visits our relatives.. I spent only one night and one day at Penyabung..

Since both of us do not like fishing, malam-malam kitorang BBQ jerlah.. berdua-duaan.. Tokei Resang Indah tuh very nice and helpful.. Kitorang memang ada bawa set BBQ sendiri.. Bila diorang nampak kitorang berBBQ, diorang tolong beri meja lah, kerusilah.. They can even provide BBQ pit, if you request.. Beli jer ikan kat Tanjung Gemok/ Endau.. Kalau tak memancing lah macam kitorang.. Then, ada beberapa pulau juga sekitar kawasan tersebut..
