Happy Valentine Day - Peace On Earth

Actually, I do not celebrate Valentine Day for some personal reason - it’s love everyday! However, to those who loves this blog, I wish you all Happy Valentine Day..

Many years ago, 2005 to be exact, I involved as a Volunteer Liaison Officer for Perdana Global Peace Forum in Malaysia. The forum was initiated by our former prime minister, Tun Dr Mahathir. Being a great fan of him, I would love any possibilities of working close with him. Well, that is the initial reason I’ve joined the volunteering work.

I was asked to attended the delegates from Palestin, 6 people altogether, including the governor of Jenin, Mr Al-Qadoura and Najwa, the Palestin child who is on a special mission to Malaysia. They are great people. But when they started telling us about their life in Palestin, I felt very sad. It is an unimaginable environment. I’ve seen sufferings and fightings here, in Malaysia, but listening to their story, what we experienced is just a tiny part of their grief.

After the forum, I’ve made a special scrapbook that I wanted to present to Tun Dr Mahathir, but due to uncircumstances, I wasn’t able to that..

While thinking about valentine day, which is a day that we celebrate love, I bet peace on earth is the best thing I could relate to love.. So, I remembered the scrapbook and I’ve turned it into a video clip, using the theme song of Perdana Global Peace forum as the background..
