Advertlets Domain Has Expired?
My goodness! That really make me think! Today, I had a course over at the IPG for a half day. Then, when I reached home around 4.30, I was too tired and I didn’t check the internet at all.. And tonight, I thought about checking my blog..
Suddenly, when the blog tried to load Adverlets Ads, the page was redirected to another page stating that the Advertlets.com domain had expired on 3rd January 2008. Are they real for business?
If it was somekind of personal sites, I wouldn’t think much why they can’t renew their subscription. But a company? That running online advertisement?
This certainly tarnish the image of them in my eyes. Especially after the cheque case last month. Luckily, I’ve already received my cash outs.. However, I haven’t cashed them. I should do it as soon as possible
Got what I meant?
And because of that – the redirection of this blog to another ‘expired domain’ services page – made my blog looked bad. Some of the visitors might thought that my domain has expired. The statistic dropped drastically today!
By now, I hate them
I’ve tore down their ads in this blog and would never put them back – At least for the next few years.. Huhu.. It doesn’t value very much that I would be willing to risk the image of myself.

P.S.: If your blog does the same thing – redirected to another page – go straight to your blog’s dashboard by adding /wp-admin after your URL. For example: http://www.yourblog.com/wp-admin .. Then tear down the ads in your blog’s theme. Things will be normal after that..
P.P.S.: Advertlets said that the problem are partially resolved. I don’t know how ‘partially’ would that be.
What Happened To My Claim?
When two Malaysian blog’s advertising networks launched a few months ago, everybody in Malaysia got excited. And that includes me.. I’ve tried both but only one worked well for me.. What I meant is I get earnings from the ads faster than the other one. So, I sticked with only one company.
Last September, I’ve decided to claim the earnings from that particular company. I believe I made the claim somewhere in the middle of September. Since it was their company’s policy that claims will only be processed early of every month, I guess they started processing my claim on the 1st October. So, I waited…
I waited and waited and waited..
Hullloooo.. It’s nearly end of the year.. What has happened to their company’s policy? It stated in their website:
Our payment cycle is only once a month. Cashout requests made by publishers before the 14th of every month will have their respective cheques and bank transfers done on the following working week. All cashouts made after the 14th of every month will receive their respective payments on the next payment cycle.
I think I met 3 14th date but I’ve still haven’t receive my claim.
As you would suggest, I’ve submitted a ticket to their support centre.. And since almost everything on the internet is automated, I do get a reply with no answer.

The e-mail was received on 19th November.. and until today, I didn’t heard anything from their staffs..
If you do remember, I wrote a few good articles about that particular company when they have just started. The owner did e-mailed me personally a few times.. Since I have his e-mail address, I thought that maybe I should have just e-mailed to him asking a few questions:
- What has happened to my claim? If the problem lies with my account – not completed or whatever – kindly inform me so I could improve it, or else they should improve their system.
- What has happened to their support centre? Is it just a mock up? Now, everybody could have an automated support centre.. BTW, if you wanted to know, they gave me the link to the company policy on payment to answer my question on my claim.. Do you think it answer me?
Well, guess what happened to the e-mail?

The e-mail address are no longer active.. Never mind, maybe he changed his e-mail address.. So, I went to his website and check if there is any way I could contact him.. And yes, the same e-mail address is still there..
I am quite disappointed now.. The claim are not that much anyway.. But maybe the team are so busy with gathering all over the country that they forgot to process my tiny claim.. What to do? I didn’t mean very much to them anyway..
This is my last effort to reach out to them.. If there is no respond until next year, I will tear down their ads on this blog and who knows what I will blog about it?
P.S.: Fear me, I am quite influential in the blogosphere..
