After playing with the animals at Mutiara Motor Resort, we were feeling hungry. It’s around 4 or 5 pm and we haven’t had our lunch yet. So, I remembered my friend’s story about nice and fresh seafood he had at Tanjung Balau. Excited to have fresh seafood for dinner, we head over to tanjung balau.

Tanjung Balau is quite small town. They have one fishermen village which I believe is a relocation area for them. Their original village might have been taken to build resorts. Though it is a fishermen town, to my dismay that there are no stalls or restaurant preparing seafoods. What a surprise?!

Anyway, they do have nice view. All beach views are nice, aren’t they?

After deciding where to go and how many days for vacation, it’s time to list down what are the things you wanna do in that particular place. In my case, it is Ipoh and surrounding town. Let’s see my list:

Pasar Karat – Only on Sunday morning, somewhere in Ipoh town.

Bukit Merah Lake Town Resort. Alternatively, we can just visit the Tambun Lost World – Is that right?

Bukit Larut – also known as Maxwell Hill, situated 10kms from Taiping. They said that to get there we have to use 4×4 vehicle. Anyway, I am going to drive a Ford Ranger, so it must be possible. Or else, you can hire a land rover at the foot of the hills.

Kellie’s Castle – Situated somewhere in Ipoh-Batu Gajah road. Must use sampan to get there.

The royal town of Kuala Kangsar – 40kms north of Ipoh, three important buildings to see are Istana Kenangan, Iskandariah and Ubudiah Mosque.

Taiping – the night zoo and the state museum

Caving – there are many caves around Ipoh town, one of it is Gua Tempurung

Tambun Hot Springs

Malaysia’s first rubber tree in Kuala Kangsar

Ipoh Cave temple like Sam Poh Tong

Kuala Gula Bird Santuary – I am not sure where is this place, but will find more information about it..

Perak’s Geological museum

Perak is also known for it’s delicious delicacies.

Actually we didn’t included Zoo Taiping in our list of places to visit because we had visited the night safari. But after visiting the museum, which is very short visit, the only place we know to go is the zoo. Afterall we couldn’t see much at night, right? So, this is the time to watch that monkey and apes…

When we checked out from the hotel that morning, there was a problem with the car. We had to send it to the workshop, thanks to Taiping Policemen who escort us to the workshop. I am sure that made the foremen worked on our car faster than ever. Well, we had to leave the car at the workshop for 2 hours, so we decided to walk around Taiping. The foremen dropped us at the museum.

Good morning!

Have you seen the recent pictures I took at Pantai Pasir Lanun (Pirate Beach Sand) at http://www.explorejohor.com ? I’ve posted it several days ago..

Pantai Pasir Lanun is located in Penyabung, Mersing. This private beach are only popular among the local. Some of the readers said they never heard the name before. Well, me too. A friend who origin there told me that the beach are beautiful and the water are sparkling clear.. It’s not like Air Papan, Mersing..

To ensure what they said is true, I went there myself.. And believe it, it’s really like what they claimed it to be.. I do not really like to swim at the beach, but this one? I can’t hold myself.. Although the road to get there is not good, but it’s worth every bit of the effort.

Check out this post at http://www.explorejohor.com and tell me what you think of it..

It’s the Hajj season, and in a few days we will celebrating the Hari Raya Haji. My husband’s cousins were going to do their hajj. Their flight is on 1st December. We went to see them, just before they leave the house for the airport. Lots of relatives were there too including my mother-in-law, sister-in-law and her children.

I haven’t gone anywhere since the holiday, so I thought that I would want to see the school which I’ll be doing my practicum, next year. It’s situated somewhere near Kota Tinggi.. In tanjung sedili, to be exact. Well, I don’t know what I am going to do there, I am sure there’s a lot of stuffs to be done during practicum, that I hope I’ll be as busy as possible so I wouldn’t realize that I might have internet problem there.. I am still working on how do I get my internet line there – I don’t see any cybercafes around.

Anyway, one thing I am sure that the place has beautiful sceneries. Near to the jetty, there is one stall selling keropok lekor which claimed were ‘imported’ from Mersing.. Hahaha.. They wrote the word imported there.. I forgot to snap a picture of it.

One of my sister-in-law’s child, Fadil, insists that he wants to follow us for ‘jalan-jalan’. My husband promised him to take him out because there was one time when we only brought his sister to KL. He is only 4 years old and he was very happy to follow us out.

I believe everybody loves holiday, and they love to go on vacation. The problem is most of the time you know where to go but didn’t know what to do. Most people might just go to a certain place that they have wanted to go all their lives, then ask the hotel reception where is the best place to visit, what to eat, and what to do. When we did that usually we will lost a lots of time searching for something that we do not know. And we end up sitting at the hotel and walking along the shop-lots. That doesn’t sound fun, don’t you think so?

Recently, I was planning my vacation. I know I want to go on vacation, but I didn’t know where to go. There are many places in Malaysia that I haven’t got a chance to explore them. Luckily, I am very good at using the internet to find information. Since I did a lot of things to plan my vacation, I guess I will share with you guys, so you could do the same when you are going for vacation.

First, I made a list of places that I wanted to go. Among of it are Terengganu, Kelantan, Pulau Langkawi and Ipoh. I am focusing on Peninsular Malaysia. Then, I began to do a research on the internet on every places that I wanted to go. I tried to find out the interesting places, events and things to do at every places that on the list.

Secondly, I analyse the information and pick a location that will benefits me most. Guess what I choose? Yes, I choose to visit Ipoh and other interesting places in Perak. I’ve been to Ipoh twice but it’s a work trip, so I didn’t really get a chance to explore the place. I’ve saw on Destinasi Bajet – TV Program – about the place and the foods, and I think it worth a try.

Thirdly, I have to decide how many days I am going on vacation and what day to travel. Actually, I am going for a friend’s wedding on Saturday at Temerloh. So from there, I could go straight for vacation. Remember that you have to count the hours for traveling too..

To be continue in Part II…
