After deciding where to go and how many days for vacation, it’s time to list down what are the things you wanna do in that particular place. In my case, it is Ipoh and surrounding town. Let’s see my list:

• Pasar Karat – Only on Sunday morning, somewhere in Ipoh town.
• Bukit Merah Lake Town Resort. Alternatively, we can just visit the Tambun Lost World – Is that right?
• Bukit Larut – also known as Maxwell Hill, situated 10kms from Taiping. They said that to get there we have to use 4×4 vehicle. Anyway, I am going to drive a Ford Ranger, so it must be possible. Or else, you can hire a land rover at the foot of the hills.
• Kellie’s Castle – Situated somewhere in Ipoh-Batu Gajah road. Must use sampan to get there.
• The royal town of Kuala Kangsar – 40kms north of Ipoh, three important buildings to see are Istana Kenangan, Iskandariah and Ubudiah Mosque.
• Taiping – the night zoo and the state museum
• Caving – there are many caves around Ipoh town, one of it is Gua Tempurung
• Tambun Hot Springs
• Malaysia’s first rubber tree in Kuala Kangsar
• Ipoh Cave temple like Sam Poh Tong
• Kuala Gula Bird Santuary – I am not sure where is this place, but will find more information about it..
• Perak’s Geological museum

Perak is also known for it’s delicious delicacies.
